Join Our Journey to Preserve the Ocean

Last spring, Dr. Enric Sala and a team of scientists embarked on an amazing six-week expedition through the southern Line Islands in the Pacific Ocean. In September 2009, the crew is departing again - this time to Cocos Island, off the coast of Costa Rica.

The team's goal is to preserve these rare gems so they are not lost forever - and to take the lessons they learn from healthy, untouched ecosystems to help restore those that are already damaged.
